The Shi Lin I know is the Taiwanese specialised foodie, and a well respected one at that!
My wife is from Taiwan and we also import foods from Taiwan, she knows a couple of Taiwanese with a Shi Lin Franchise, maybe i can find out more if interested. I can also give you positive or negative feedback on areas, as we do mobile exhibitions.
We are not a competitive company, so if you want a chat anytime let me know. I'm retired 9 months of the year, though I oversee our business interests.
Who knows maybe we can do something together, as I'm always interested in new ventures.
http://www.ifranchisesingapore.com/ Just do a search on Singapore franchise, there is plenty of info. Though take it all as a pinch of salt, as much research is needed, don't rush into anything
Though you will get more information by approaching a Franchisee, who may give you the full run down
