Hi There
I had applied for the LTSVP and yesterday i got an in-principle approval for the same. I have to make a payment of 30+60 dollars for the same and also submit form 14 duly signed.
Now my query is that what do i do with regards to part V declaration by a local sponsor? I have come here to singapore on a visit pass which is due to expire shortly. I have an EPEC based on which i undertook this journey from India.
Is it mandatory for a person applying for LTSVP to have a local sponsor? This shouldn't however be confused with people working here in singapore and applying for their family members to join them here in singapore.
Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Yeah, you need a local sponsor. This is to prevent you from becoming a ward of the state because you spent all your money and haven't any to purchase a return ticket home (you might have cashed in your return ticket for money if you were really hard up). This way, they are guaranteed that there is somebody here who will guarantee that you will have a way out of Singapore.
