No, because you have low self esteem people look down on you. If you don't love yourself, why should anyone else?

dear fat girl,

Now i do not want to sound cruel at all. First of all, you need to determine if you are really OVERWEIGHT. This is done through a BMI measurement. Don't look in the mirror or ask your "friends" or things like that.
If you are just big boned and there are no excess fat deposits in your buttocks, arms or abdominal area, then this is just a self esteem issue. If however these areas seem to be flabby, then you have identified the problem.

Sooo, flabby people can't make friends???

do not listen to this fat pride bullshit.

I think that the fact that a person believes that people "look down on them" because they are a particular way is a bigger problem. If that isn't fixed then you could be anorexic and still feel like you are disliked and that you need to be "better" to be liked.

I'm fat too! But i think we must be confidence, and love ourselves more. Do more exercise, as long as you are healthy, and not overweight by too many kgs, then should be ok!!

EXERCISE AND FAT

Postby SachiA » Mon, 14 Mar 2011 10:59 pm

Exercise - bad for health. Just use only the slippery chops sticks to honorably lose weight. If you drop or the food jumps out of the sticks do not attempt to pick it up again. But fat is good. Keeps you warm, does not hurt when u fall, can go on hunger strike for days, can swim easily. LOL   :)

Yup - it's less about your size and definitely more about your self-esteem.
If losing weight helps to boost your self-esteem then give it a try. I lost a lot of weight some years ago, but it still doesn't stop me from feeling low about myself for some other reason every now and then...!
To have friends you need to feel the love for yourself, not feel fat! :)

And you can also adopt the most radical solution I heard for weight loss - PIERCE YOUR TONGUE :D :D

The fear of food getting caught in the tongue bar apparently discourages the 'pierced one' from eating a lot of food ... especially those meaty meaty ones ..

Hey HomelyGal,

I'm big, I'm happy, and I'm proud not to be size 0. I eat healthily, I exercise at the gym 3 times a week, and I have a wonderful husband who loves me for who I am. If people don't want to be friends with you because of your size, thats their problem and if they can't get past it, don't worry about them. A true friend sees the person within. Keep socialising, keep your chin up, and be confident in your own skin.
Plus, don't keep telling yourself you're fat. If you're overweight, you already know it so why keep rubbing salt in the wound? I prefer the term "over-voluptuous" lol.

Cheers, Minnie

Oh, and Dr H: Its not "fat pride". Its taking pride in yourself, regardless of size and shape.
