I hope you guys can answer my question it would help me figuring out what my dad can bring me as a gift from there! :D

Hi Tess,

I don't know if perfume is cheaper. One duty free is rather like another really isn't it? And yes I expect you can find clothes cheaper but not if you want it to be a brand name you recognise... and there is always the difficulty of your dad not knowing precisely what you want and it being the right size!

Difficult. Electronic goods are meant to be pretty good value here. You'd need to give your dad an idea what to buy, and then he'd probably have to be willing to go off and haggle like crazy with the locals. The Funan Centre by Coleman Street is an ok place for a non-local to try and do this for the first time...

Good luck!

p.s. I'm assuming you might be too young to simply ask for a bottle of rum and box of Cuban cigars :)

There's an Indian shop in Lucky Plaza and they sell very cheap perfumes. You can even bargain with them :)

Very cheap = very dubious as well as what I've been told about this shop (and along with most stores in Lucky Plaza). Proceed with extreme caution.

DID YOU KNOW? That Lucky Plaza is called that because if you're gonna buy something expensive there, it's like being asked "So, are you feeling lucky today....punk." True! That's what a friend of my friend who is the cousin of another friend six times removed told me!

:P

btw, if you missed it, that was sarcasm with hyperbole.
