Will getting a CC at another bank lower my current CC limit?

Because I pay for my Serviced Apartment using my CC the last thing I need is to see my current CC limit lowered just because a different bank gives me a new CC.

Would that be the case if I apply and get a new CC?

No. The only time that happens if you have multiple cards with the same bank like having both VISA and Mastercard with the same bank. The credit line is single credit line covering the charges to both cards. But, if the cards are with different banks, e.g., citibank and stanchart no. each is on it own. That is why so many people go bankrupt as they keep getting more and more cards and running em up to the max and then using the other cards to bail they out, digging a bigger and bigger hole.

Many thanks, not looking to raise my spending so no extra credit needed, just want another card as it gives slightly more air miles and not everyone accepts Amex...
