Opinions on Tempur beds please

Post by Vagabonder » Sat, 19 Feb 2011 10:54 pm

We've just moved to Singapore and need to buy a new bed. We've wanted to buy a Tempur for some time but I've hear they can be hot and / or smelly in this climate.

My thinking is that we'll mostly be sleeping in air-conditioning but maybe they retain heat / smell from the day?

Has anyone owned one here and can you please give me your opinion on the heat / smell factor in this climate?

Thanks!

My Temper 'Cloud"

Post by Darby » Mon, 28 Feb 2011 9:16 am

I have the Cloud model, now it just arrived last week by crate so I can not answer the heat/smell question. I did move from Texas where it is very hot anyway and they encourage you to purchase an airtight cover to protect it, so I have had no problems with it sweating or anything. I have probably had it 8 to 10 months.

It is the best bed I have ever slept on, I was very sceptical, because I have a bad back and we had changed mattresses several times before this. But the Cloud is wonderful! It really does change your sleep habits, I use to toss and turn and now I find I do not move much at all at night.

Just wanted to give you my opinion on the comfort part! I think we paid around $2500 for a king size in the states, but it was worth it!
