Gleneagles valet service

Post by bluenose » Sat, 19 Feb 2011 3:08 pm

A week or so ago we had an appointment at Gleneagles hospital and as we were a tad late and the car park was full we used the valet service...big mistake!

After getting the car back and driving away we noticed that 2 ang pow red envelopes that were left in the middle compartment (between driver and passenger), which was closed......had been opened and the contents (cash) removed, then a bag that was lying in the footwell of the passengers side had one ang pow envelope been opened and cash removed also!!!

Small amount of cash, but thats the not the point....we complained and the answer from the boss was feeble to say the least.......

So be warned.....they will steal anything, even going through your possessions to get what they need and then smaile after they give your car back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not all valets are like this and have many great experiences.....Bukit Timah Plaza for example.....but this one at Gleneagles is not to be trusted

I am sorry to hear that. However, I have used the valet service there numerous times, with no issues. Of course, I am somewhat paranoid and do not leave valuables in the car ever and that includes the cash card, which I make sure that they see me remove - have had the car broken into one too many times I am afraid

Silly you for leaving valuables in the car when handing over to a stranger for valet.

Do not do it...........
