Car Registration Number Plate "1"

Post by Saint » Fri, 18 Feb 2011 5:39 pm

Just seen a white BMW 7 series (an oldish one at that) with the number plate of "1" waiting to pick to pick someone up from my office. It was flying the Singapore and I believe it was the UAE flag as their Embassy is on one the floors. Anyone know who's car it would be to just have a plate with "1"? Not even President has such as plate as his car is SEP 1

Oh, then I have a similar question - I was following one day a large column of the cars with the front one of LP No "2" coming from Jurong via AYE. Very efficient way to travel right after the police motorbikes and also nice display how good they handled the ad-hoc traffic closure.

The coolest plate I think I have ever seen on a car, was on an old Roller in Cambridge back in the 70's

Back home, politicians have one number plates and police escorts. So...

Coolest I have seen was ELV15 :) Though plates bring big bucks in UK! Now I thought of that, reminds me of an old teddy boy friend of mine, who dressed up like Elvis, white suit and sequins every weekend he went out on the Town, in the late 60's bumped into him a few time when visiting my home City, in 70, 80, 90 and in 2000, I had the shock of my life, when i bumped into him, I said what the FK happened to Elvis, he said yeah I've been bored the last couple of years. I'm Rod Stuart now (The guy is 65) and still pulling crumpet, he's got to be one of Lancaster's originals....Though i cringed at his tagline and said Tommy for god sake we are living in 2008 now, your on pension....Well look at Rod he's 66 and still pulling the birds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrv1kHLIoxQ what a cheeky bottom, that's what makes life worth living

Mick Jagger was on the box too and he's still prancing around like a volatile ballerina, which means old men are accepted these days as something special from the 50's & 60's, here's one for SMS (Mr Cool) :P  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmcmoJrzKo4 and dessert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTZXjuse ... re=related

Having spent over 15 years in Dubai, UAE i think I assume that the Number 1 numberplat probably had His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin (CENSORED) Al Maktoum, who is the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and absolute monarch of Dubai.

He is a fan of the numberplate 1 and owns it in all codes in Dubai, UAE.
Have even seen him in UK with this similar numberplate. Often he exports his cars across in his yatch.

Cannot say affirmatively till you share a picture of the numberplate........

CJ 1 is the Chief Justice' car ..

I just saw EA5Y this morning :). But best I ever saw was many years ago, a EV1L.

Of course, these were luxury makes. They always are.
