Changing coins into cash

Post by BillyB » Wed, 16 Feb 2011 2:02 pm

Anyone know where to get SG coins changed into notes. do any banks provide this type of service for free? I bank with StanChart but they won't accept them.

I have over $600 in coins and no idea on the number of coins - possibly 1500-2000.

Thanks in advance.

DBS Bank has Coin collection machines, they dont give you out Notes but they credit the funds into your account. There's also a minimal fee for the service. Check their website, you should be able to see the locations where these machines are available.

Would make sense to open a savings account with POSB then.
