EP Application Final Decision, Time

Post by SingLife » Fri, 11 Feb 2011 12:48 pm

Hi Friends,

Any idea as to how much time its taking now for the final decision on a manually submitted EP application by MOM now a days, on an average? The website says 5 weeks, but can take longer too, how much not indicated :???: . We have an application whose status still says Pending after 5 weeks of application submission.

More than the approval it is the unclear status which is bothering. Will going to MOM office help in knowing when we can get a final reply or will they ask us to keep checking the website which says Pending right now.

They will tell you to keep checking the website normally. Unless you are over 7 weeks, I'd not be too concerned as they, according to the papers yesterday, are verifying degrees and credentials using teams in the countries where the were obtained to verify the legitimacy of those documents as the MOM has been deluged with counterfeit degrees and work histories in the last couple years, specifically with S and EP holders. It's getting harder and harder to get by them now. I've been telling all here for the past 2 years what is happening but nobody seems to be listening. Now, all that I've said, was finally put into print in the papers.

Manual apps can take much longer, 6 weeks is around the norm. So I wouldn't be too alarmed at the time your app is taking.

We have an appeal going through that was submitted manually and its been 5 weeks, so I'd guess MOM could be hectic at the moment. The initial application which was submitted online took 3 days to be assessed. It must be all the admin and data entry process that delays things.

They do say no news is good news though!!

After 5 weeks it does help in going to MOM for checking the status. It helps in expediting the process, that is- rejection :x

anyway on 2nd visit they asked to submit the appeal letter & some other documents, cut the appeal form requirement. But said the appeal form can be downloaded from the net :???: . so a bit confused now, is the appeal form a must even if it has been cut in the requirement. One safe way is to include it, other is why so when it has been cut in the requirement. what say you.
