Gee, I don't know. Those things are heavy and/or unwieldy, especially if made of marble or pewter. Not sure though if it's plaster or paper mache.

Siglap Road so nearest MRT is Bedok or Kembangan. I did used to cycle there and lock bike up but it was 'borrowed' on a permanent basis. Also the MRT is not finished at Science Park until June so Buona Vista is closest.

I think you was probably doing it the quickest and cheapest way then. Other than buy a new battery powered bike with a motor, I would suggest placing several adverts in the science park to share petrol costs, with someone in your area. What is the actual distance any idea. A powered bike maybe quick, cheap and useful after the MRT is built.

ksl, motorbike has been in my options but had not thought about battery powered bike.

The MRT does not allow people to take bikes on it does it?

Not battery powered ones I don't think, but yes, you can use folding bikes like dahon and such provided which, when folded the fit within given measurements (like carry-on baggage in an airplane.) Some, like the Serangoon MRT actually have a measurement board/stand just the airports do.

Certain buses also can.

Wife actually bought me an EZLink card and put $15 so that I try the bus! Have been putting it off for weeks now but suppose I will have to give it a go.
