Opp Shops and Secondhand Stores

Post by QueenMinnie » Tue, 08 Feb 2011 1:01 pm

Hey everyone!

I'm a opp-shopper from way back, and I'm keen to find some to rummage through. Does anybody know of any? I'm pretty much looking for books and old jewellery.

Cheers, Minnie

Jewelry will be only found in the Pawn Shops. Old book (normally paperbacks) will be found in the Second Hand book stores. The rest (and some of the above as well maybe) can be found in either the Salvation Army Thrift stores or Cash Converters. Asians aren't big on buying other peoples trash (from their point of view) and about the only acceptable pre-owned items they would buy are Watches, Cars, & houses (but definitely NOT the furniture or old clothes).

Wow... I thought I was the only one interested in 2nd hand stores. They are becoming very very popular in the States. I'm heading to SG in April. Please stay in touch and let me know what you find out. Another good source is watch the paper for checking Craigslist for 2nd hand stuff. American military personnel often leave so much behind when they move...
