Looking for reliable part-time maid

Post by sleepyhead » Mon, 07 Feb 2011 12:14 am

I am looking for part-time maid to start in mid-March.
3 times a week, 2 and half hours each time.

Anyone has any good recommendations? Help!

Thank you!

There are a number of domestic cleaning services listed on my links page below. Remember, you can only use a PR or Citizen for a part time maid. It is essential that you check the credentials of any part time domestic as if you use a moonlighting FDW, both you and the maid are in deep brown stuff.

You may have problems finding somebody to come over for 2.5h even if this is 3 times a week unless you pay more than a typical rate. And you will have an impossible task finding a reliable and professional part-time maid. You may try different agencies and the agencies will be less or more professional but all the p-t maids they are going to send to you will be within a standard deviation showing similar lack of cleaning/ironing skills and common sense.

Yes, that's correct. I've heard there are some good ones out there but did not have any luck finding one. Maybe they keep them in a local vault as a reference similar to the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Sèvres. On the other hand what could you expect? This is probably close to the bottom of the workforce skill-sets/education and ppl much better educated have tremendous problems here to provide some basic service quality.
