There is no reason, especially if you are polite and understanding about it, that you should feel bad about having to do something like this, and any decent person, taxi driver or otherwise, should man up and show some humanity about it.

My first flight with Air Asia, I was so "innocent" that I ask a taxi driver to go to the Budget Terminal (very last minute!) just to find that I should be in Terminal 1 instead. The airport bus was not a chance (I was late!) and the taxi driver was not so happy to drive me to T1

Of course I can understand the situation, but other times instead, there is barely queue and as soon as a taxi driver reaches there with a passenger, leaves with another one and the surcharge without waiting at all. So I guess that statistically should be fair :)

Yes I agree that my only problem is when it rains heavily. I usually start calling 30 minutes before I need it, and nowadays with iPhone apps, can activate 3 calls at the same time to increase my chances (two using apps and one on dial).

My worst experience

Post by Tackey_Kong » Mon, 04 Jul 2011 9:45 am

well, here's my share of the story~

one morning i m suppose to go for an event site from home, thus I called for a taxi... I specifically mentioned to the operator saying I need a driver who knows my event site, as m not sure of where is it...

few mins later, i got a call from the driver, asking me where is my street as he do not know how to get there. He asked me to walk over to where he park his cab. So I did. End up he wasnt there n i call back, he say he found the place and ask me walk back to where I originally m standing.

well, tats not the end~ once I got into the cab, the driver ask me, where do i wan to go... so I say 91, Jalan Bahar~ so he repeated... okay, JurongWest Street 91... I said no... 91, Jalan Bahar is where I wanted to go~ so he kept arguing and called his station... his station told him its behind NUS... so yeah, there we go...

reaching there, he circles around as he could not find the place... as for me, i have no idea as it was my first time over to the army training site~ end up the meter bill raise... n he ask me to pay for total sum even though he cant find the place...

geez... i hate this...
when i call n requested for a driver who knows the place, i expect good service as in you'll bring me to where I wanted to go~ gosh~!
Just be happy everyday. Life goes on.

Because "that's" is such a difficult word for some to spell.

It seems a peculiarity (to me/us) of pronunciation.

To them:
Thais = 'Thighs'
Thighs = 'Ties'
