Tax on a 6 month working holiday visa

Post by charliecookson » Sat, 05 Feb 2011 1:04 am

Hi All,

I am travelling to Singapore in March 2011 on a 6 month working holiday visa and have some questions regarding tax etc.

On arrival in Singapore i will not have a job but when I do get one will I have to pay tax in Singapore or in the UK if the company is British?

If I will have to pay in the UK will it be on my existing tax code?

Thanks very much, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What you earned in SG , you will be tax in SG NOT UK. It does not matter if the company is British or otherwise

go to www.iras.gov.sg for more info
