I rented a flat Block 191 boon lay drive through an agent but the owner turned to be a fraud, she did not let me in and kept delaying the move-in date. Finally I filed a case with small claims and approached HDB for flat details, came to know this is HDB direct rental flat and they are about to seize the flat.
Alternatively I filed a police report so i guess as a result they put her in jail for 10mo (I came to know of this when I called the police, not sure if she in only because of this case)
Now the writ seizure and sale from small claims will be ineffective. Unfortunately I have lost the card of the agent so not sure which agency to approach.
Can you please advise me of my further course of action? I had paid 4200 SGD - 1mo adv, 2 mo rent, agent fee

You need to get all the docs pertaining to your TA, the name of the LL should be in there written with her IC NO and your agent name and the company that your agent work.

Only then you can go either to CASE, SCT or sue both for negligence,fraud,cheat or whatever thru a lawyer. I am not sure if SCT or Case can go that far in your instances

A lawyer in IMHO will go far but it will cost quite a bit. You can filed for Chap 11 if the court found that the LL and the agent has mislead you .
Talk to a lawyer is my choice of action.

BTW sorry, I do not supply names of lawyers nowadays as many forumers that I recommend to my lawyer friends abuse it and I got rap for it. This peopled when they are in trouble will beg down on their knees but once help arrives they muck around and blame me for their predicament.
