Chinese, Malay, or Indian?

You have referred to nationality, not race. Need a passport to tell the difference between a Malaysian and a Singaporean.

If it is Chinese ethnicity, the Chinese accent will give it away. Not sure about spoken English though.

Look at the way OP has written YOU in capitals meaning there is a difference and its just a matter of whether YOU can tell the difference or not, hehehe.

I dont think I can tell the difference. But may be a local can. I may not even be able to differentiate a chinese from a malay, leave alone nationalities, especially if the malay is fair or a chinese is dark, I will most likely get confused. Hehehe.

Do Malaysian Chinese only use the lah endings whereas Sgeans have more varieties e.g. lor and le?

my 2 cents - and late to the party - yes, to some extent ..

Probably that goes with Malaysians - I mean MALAYSIANS, not Malays, as a lot of foreign talents seem to be confusing Malays with Malaysians ... having more space, easily being able to own cars, and this and that ..

I could go on, but .. will be a bit like stirring up a hornets nest .. :D :D

Off-hand - NO CAN DO.

But after working with them and getting to know them, yes, I could give myself 75% success rate in differentiating Locals from Malaysians ..

Cheers

What is a Malaysian? Malay? Chinese? Indian? Smattering of Portuguese? Traveled? Educated?

Maybe for some people it might be possible to differentiate, for others, impossible. You going to tell me that you can tell a British educated Malay lives in Malaysia, Singapore, or Britain?

But, to paraphrase MHB, who gives a sh*t? What's the point?

One thing I have learned is that regardless of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, and favorite sports team, there are more than enough morons and idiots to go around.

I suspect, as suggested, for the OP to get 5 posts so he now has PM access to spam his ready 'address list' of expats. His post account started and ended at 5 in one day, quelle surprise!

Can you monitor PM traffic? It would be interesting to see how many newbies go from 1-5 on their first day, stop there but start PMing people instead...

I'd burn their sorry ar$es if I had a big red button in front of me 8-)

As soon as it happens, that happens. The first complaint we received of PM spamming and it's over for them.

Only our hosts here are allowed to spam us, but permission for that was granted when the readers register here. :-|

Well, for Filipinos, all Malays are "MALAYSIANS" and my attempts to correct it went nowhere .. and likewise, all Chinese are "CHINESE" - > meaning, they are all from China .. :) :)

Anyway, since the OP has gone underground, let's leave the smoke to others ..
