Looking for Anti-Vaccine organization in SG

If you openly solicit members for such a group in Singapore I suspect the MHA or whatever the ministry is will come down hard on you. With the rampant problems this country has with childhood illnesses spreading through the high density population your stance is going to be seen as anti government. Remember any meeting of 5 people or more that has ANY semblance of politics involved must have a police permit approval.

Oh, I am not advocating for it, I just say I understand the reasons in some of the cases. This is the expat community forum so I assume the level of awareness and comprehension is still much better than a surrounding average. Still I think I agree with your point as it may happen that somebody may take my message some wrong way so I will probably remove it. Yes, this is true. SPD is one of the examples. Regression is not only about the language. It could be also about motor skills not to mentioned social ones. The point is unless this is very severe case of ASD already evident from infancy the regression is a very common element and a huge red flag in the development. It seems reasonable to avoid it. The problem is how to assign the weightage.

this is a late reply but as always, better late than never.

my mom used to be a pediatrician but didn't really like the idea of me being injected so many times in singapore (i came to singapore when i was 8 and went through the schooling system until i was 16+) although my dad didn't really care if i had all my shots or not as long as i was healthy.

my mom gave me a letter to bring to school on vaccination day, stating that the vaccinations will be administered by a personal physician at a later time because for medical reasons i cannot be jabbed that month.

it worked. and it still does.

except when i was 11 and my parents went back home for half a year coz my gramma was sick and i had to have my TB shot coz i didn't have a note from her (okay, my mom thought it was a good idea) and i now bear an evil scar that the reverse vampires gave me.

okay, fast forward to 2012.

your kid only needs to have 2 vaccinations in singapore: diptheria (before 1 yo, 3 dtap doses excluding optional boosters) and measles (before 2 yo, usually multivalent MMR as monovalents are difficult to get, 2 doses excluding optional boosters).

everything else is optional. it's not that bad, considering the government recommends a baby get between 17-20 shots before they turn 2 years old.

Just an update on the deaths of non-vaccinated children in Queensland, Aus to revitalize this thread for anybody contemplating putting other children at risk by not vaccinating you child and putting them in a public school setting.

If you don’t vaccinate your children according to MOH guidelines, then don’t expect to get any reasonable health Insurance coverage for them.

Hopefully the parents and children will have record of non-vaccination status for future legal liability of being disease transmission vectors agents to other compliant children of Singapore citizens.

Maybe moderators can close/lock this thread. We live in the 21st century, do we really want to talk about vaccine benefits in 2020? Let's get serious. If anyone chooses to stay uneducated that is his choice, although social services should deal with that in my opinion, we do not need any more fake news, and crazy theories by any self-proclaimed "experts" thinking they can deny 100 years of modern medicine because they can google stupid staff on the internet.
