Postby Average Man » Fri, 21 Jan 2011 8:13 pm

Hi Everyone, Landed yesterday so I'm still recovering.

I must admit I'm completely ignorant about what is around and about, apart from what I've read in guidebooks, So would like to meet people for an adventure, I'm open and up for anything so send me a message
I am currently away travelling through time on business. All messages will be read upon my return last week.

Jet lag was easy to get over, I find it's harder going back.

I'm currently trying to get over the fact why where I work has given me an orange...

hihi i am a local chinese here...
let me explain...
mandarin oranges ...

"During Chinese New Year, Mandarin oranges and tangerines are considered traditional symbols of abundance and good fortune. During the two-week celebration, they are frequently displayed as decoration and presented as gifts to friends, relatives, and business associates"(from wikipedia)

when we visit a house.. we will greet each other with a pair of mandarin oranges as a form of good fortune and so on. we believe that good things come in a pair too ...

now is chinese new year... so basically the hotel will give you that too :)

Happy Chinese New Year!
Welcome to Singapore
