Hi There!
We are really hoping you can help. We are about to move to Singapore from the start of April, and are trying to find the best place to rent a condo. We visited recently and loved the new Belle Vue Residences near Orchard Road. We have found it difficult to find a 3 bed here within budget. We looked at others around River Valley and love this area.
Our budget is a max of 8k p/m for a 3 bed condo. We have a small baby / toddler and are really concerned with some of the high rise blocks with balcony as baby is turning into a bit of a climber! This is why we really loved Belle Vue - low rise, but really lovely surroundings and great location.
Does anyone have any "toddler safe" recommendations on condo's to look at. We know we might be a bit overprotective in not wanting to live 30 stories up, but we'd rather be safe then sorry!
We really hope that some of you can offer some advice to newbies in Singapore!
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to respond. No estate agents please!
Max

Something you might want to look out are birds on the trees. I am staying on the 4th floor with huge trees outside the windows. I thought they look lovely but they sing everyday, day and night, really loud. I called everyone and anyone to find a solution, but the conclusion is, there is none.
In any case, if a baby really climb through the window and fall, I seriouslly doubt he/she will survive the fall, whether it is 30 storey or 2 storey.

Yeah, that is the point! Surely even 3ft you wouldn't want your baby dropping...Girl_Next_Door wrote:

FYI I moved 2 months ago into a 3 bed place...only 3.8k, on River Valley, 1400 sqft. 8k should be plenty!
