Why?
Because the form says If you are married, during application, you must submit your spouse's details / including marriage certificate ..
BTW, during PR interview, one of the questions asked was "ARE YOU CO-HABITATING WIHT ANYBODY .. " and if it is a NO - you are to sign on a form saying "I HEREBY SINCERELY AND SOLEMNLY DECLARE THAT I AM NOT CO-HABITATING WITH ANYBODY"
No clue .. just that I came across it during my PR application
MS: sorry to have offended you - I shall tuck my tail in ..
Cheers:

So out of interest what have PR's lost over the years?

Big chunks of our subsidies. Should have stayed on EP. At least that way, we could try to make up the difference at the Casinos. See, we aren't citizens but we can't go to the casinos without paying as well. So, are we expats or aren't we? Only when it's convenient to take something away from us (or give us additional - like increasing the school fees). They want the best we can give, but don't want to give us anything in return - taking it away instead. And considering my son will be going into NS in May, it really sucks.

*Sigh* Why... this should raise a few eye brows?

X. precisely what I am taking issue with him as his post makes no sense at all.
SMS : you know me , I have no issue be it local or PR or otherwise being cynical or not but it has to have some common ground of understanding with facts. As you have pointed many a times, that makes this forum full of vibe. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it has to make some sense .
I sympathise with PRs like yourself as you are between the rock and hard surface. It really sucks as the PR in Singapore has no value in it unlike in OZ, UK and many other places in the world. The way I see it , it will get worse with many benefits taken away. PRs are worse than EP holders as they are like punching bag. Your son need to put down their life to defend this country but you do not have equal standing with Sger....Sigh...

Not to get into a shooting match, but are you disputing my statement that ICA have made it a rule that married people - even if you submit for one of the spouse - must submit the spouse's info + marriage certificate ??
