Anyone know how to process application to bring in an ex SG FDW from indonesia? Have a indonesia maid, who works in SG before, and is keen to come back to work in SG, i wanna employ her, but the agencies i called up, quoted me $1,200~$1,800 to bring her in! this is only to pay agent in Indonesia, over SG side, we still need to pay airfares & insurance.
Anyone has experience in processing application for ex SG FDW? can share with me? thanks in advance!

Re: need help in bring an ex SG FDW from indonesia
That's about the going rate - but, if she has prior experience, it should be lesser ... PM me, and I can refer a couple of agencies, who just about charge little lesser than that ..karenkoh wrote:Anyone know how to process application to bring in an ex SG FDW from indonesia? If she has worked in Singapore before she will have a previous work permit number. Either ask the FDW if she has documentation or contact the MOM directly (or since it is really difficult to get anyone on the phone just go down there in person with her passport number). You can apply yourself through your work permit number - just follow all the guidelines. When you receive the approval you can bring her over. It may be worth it to engage an agency if you don't want to deal with getting the pass, fingerprinting... etc. but it's all quite straightforward if you want to do it yourself - especially if she has worked in Singapore before.

Since she has already worked in Singapore she should not have to provide the initial paperwork like education certificate, safety test, language test...etc. Are you sure she has worked in Singapore? She should have a previous work permit number.
Your best bet if you are in Singapore is to go to the MOM with her passport number and find out exactly what you need.
If you are a first time employer you will have to take the online test for first time employers (very straightforward and easy). You will also have to fill out the necessary paperwork - but register for a SingPass and you can do it in minutes and the approval is quite fast.
Once the FDW is approved she will have a certain number of days (once she is in the country) to fingerprint, get her photos and head down to the work pass division to collect her pass.
When in doubt, they will give you all the info you need at MOM.
Also, if you do all the initial paperwork and get the maid approved you can always then engage an agency to help facilitate getting the rest done once she is here and that may only cost you a couple of hundred dollars.
Also check out NTUC, they offer the maid insurance, bond and have services to help facilitate the pass.
