Citizenship Application got rejected for Family of 4

Post by HalfSingaporean » Sun, 16 Jan 2011 2:05 am

Hi,

We got a rejection letter last Friday and as usual, there was no reason stated on the reply.

Does anyone have any idea that when we can re-apply again?

Here are my credentials.
- I have a stable job in a reputable MNC.
- My kids are not male
- I did bought any apartment 2-3 years back.
- Graduate
- Single House hold income > 95K
- Member of local community group (not active in local grass root politics).
- Kids studying in the local schools.
- Saved CPF for rainy days.

I am not sure that which one is the problem here.
- Doesn't have male kids.
- Not an Indian or Chinese etc.
- No activity in the politics here

You should call ICA, and they will advice you when you can re-submit

Applications are rejected for various reasons, and ICA has not duty to clarify

Well, what makes you think being indian or chinese affects or benefits your application ??

So where would you be from ?? From the moon or ??????

PS: Saved CPF for rainy day ?? :D Well, once you are a PR, did you have choice to not contribute to CPF ?? :D

Probably means he didn't use his CPF to buy an HDB flat, rather used private savings/mortgage to buy unit.

As far as his ethnicity is concerned, Chinese obviously hold the largest immigration percentages as Singapore uses immigration to control the population demographics (as I've noted here before) therefore, Chinese would possibly have a better chance of getting approved as the lowest Fertility rate is among the Chinese so would need more topping up to keep the demographic majority where it is. It's already a given, admitted to by the Powers that Be, that they have over imported Indians so the queue there is overly long and high numbers, as evidenced here as well, are getting bounced in all areas, Working Visa, PR's & citizenship.

If the poster is Malay, well, gonna probably be rough anyway, as historically a sensitive area and if you are "others", well, let's see, the number just aren't there. If they are Caucusian, well, the biggest question I'd have to ask is whether it looks like they can assimilate easily. From appearance it would seem so, but again, nobody can read ICA's thought processes. Who knows, it might be arbitrary! :o

I was thinking of another nationality, who's citizens have been complaining of partial treatment and been getting rejected en-mass .. well, as you say ICA/Singapore Inc have their long term plans in place, so ... nobody knows -

Cheers

May I know how long ago did you attain your PR.

Did you got it with your family ?
