new in town and looking for friends to hang out and do sport

Post by mlyin88 » Fri, 14 Jan 2011 4:53 pm

Hi everyone,

OK so the topic is not so new, everyone seems to be looking for the same thing. I've seen a million posts about this, but nothing really seems to be going on or maybe I missed something (if I am missing out on great parties, do PM me!!). So anyway, starting yet another topic!

I am a 30 year old French woman, moved to Singapore a few months ago but have been away often so haven't really had the chance to meet people.

I am, as everyone else, looking to make great friends to hang out and have fun. I love sports, outdoors mainly, and think they are a great way to meet people. I like squash, badminton, rollerblade, wakeboard, trekking, basketball, only to name a few.

So here is the idea: start by organizing a dinner sometime soon with anyone like minded to meet and then follow up with regular weekly meetups, either for dinner/drinks or sports activity (or even both).

Let me know those who are interested, I will start a list and then if enough responses, organize something over the next coming weeks.

Cheers

Please count me in as well. I'm Indonesian but I studied in the US for eight years and never been to SG. If anyone plans to do some sightseeing I'm interested.

I'll usually jog on alternate days and will look forward to relax on Fridays and Saturdays...to widen my social circles and get some good friends..

Have been looking for active badminton players, to start on frequent badminton sessions together.

Look forward to your invitation for a jog/ badminton or a chill together, contact me at [email protected]

Hey everyone,

Well I try to play badminton/squash every Tuesday or Wednesday. I play at a Community center, which is nice and cheap but the only problem is badminton courts need to be booked 2 weeks in advance!!! Otherwise they are fully booked!

I've been quite busy these past weeks and will be again for the next 2 weeks, but will try to set something up after that. If anyone else has time to organize, please do!

Thanks
