I have just arrived in Singapore and the internal battery of my IBM T22 has failed. Does anyone know where to purchase a replacement?
Best regards,
Andrew

Thank you, for the info. Unfortunately it is a CR2032 in heatshrink with a cable connector.
Best regards,
Andrew

I'm not sure I follow - so you can't replace the battery alone?

Doesn't look like it. Came as a sealed unit from IBM last time. I have contacted the service centre here, just waiting for a reply. In the UK I could have solved this easily. Just arrived in Singapore and getting to know my way around.
Best regards,
Andrew

I know the type you are talking of - head to Sim Lim, and from 3rd floor - browse and you will never go wrong -

Thank you, for the reply. I have also found that pchub.com have them, they have a retailer at Sim Lim.

wow... T22 is so old skool!
if you are not having any luck in singapore, your best bet would be ebay. getting it directly from lenovo singapore would cost a bomb!

T22 is about 10 years old. Still works and runs MSOffice 2003, which is all I really need. A bit slow but you get used to it.

It is EOL at IBM/Lenovo, it is not expensive - just the shipping + indenting = wait for 2 weeks ..
Better off at Sim Lim ...

I would like to thank everyone for their help. I got the battery at Unicell in Sim Lim Square.
IBM/Lenovo replied by saying take it to a service centre. Stock answer I suspect.

Andrew
