IPhone 4/Smartphone from singtel

Post by hvnair » Tue, 11 Jan 2011 11:16 pm

Anybody know where I can get an Iphone4 32 GB for Singtel (new account). I called and visited over 10 places, and they all tell me they've been out of stock for 2 months.

If you have other phone recommendations, I'm very interested. I'm looking for a phone that can use skype, and connects well with Microsoft Exchange Server, and works well internationally. Also looking for it to have good AV features for watching movies.

I heard android systems do not interface with MS Xchange well, but I'm not sure if that applies to the new version 2.2.

I think Blackberry Touch might be good with Exchange, but I'm not sure if it;s compatible with Skype, or how well it plays mp4 or wmv movies.

suggestions?

How about trying other mobile service providers?

Spritley got his 5 posts, made his PM and as left. Maybe we ought to start banning the idjits that do that and delete their three word answers as they add absolutely nothing to the board except taking up useless bandwidth. :x

If I'm not wrong the HTC Desire comes in both windows or android.

My wife is using the HTC legend, but I believe the Desire to be much better. Though it's everyone to their own taste really, we have not been impressed by Iphone this time around. Rarely use a phone myself, so i get the left over from my daughter who claims the discounted ones

I don't even use $30 a month :D that's why my wife loves me  Truly amazing what phones can do for your marriage!

But kids you have to watch, they are scammed on game down loads and music, my daughters bill was $450 and she had text over 900 messages, be careful out there!

Singtel will normally offer you a way out of paying the kids bill, by converting to a cheap data plan, but I would rather they stop these 3rd parties offering music and games free, when they are not free. There's a monthly membership, don't get caught out by the phone scams for kids..

Especially if you put them on vibrate mode. Ask the wifey!

ha ha! Now that would be extremely entertaining even for me :P If I could wake her up off the sofa every night.

I have that feeling Asian women are not has sturdy as western women, especially if schooled from childhood in careers such as business and not house keeping. Western women have to do the house work with hubby too, when they get home.

Though I have experience of both like westerners do, though you are not going to see my apron strings or my tool in vibrator mode, though you can probably hear my teeth rattle from outside the house :P

If you genuinely mean the above, rule out the iphone immediately. The reception alone is questionable at best ( not to mention varies greatly from iphone to iphone )

Nokia N8 ...you wont look back
Good luck
