Qns regarding relocating or visiting Singapore? Let me help!

Post by tutujl » Tue, 11 Jan 2011 1:30 pm

Hello! I have quite abit of experience with singapore immigration system. Like mention on the title, if you have any problems or questions but couldnt find an answer, I m here to help!

Why m I creating this thread is because its impossible for me to go through every single thread in the forum that is asking for help. So I though it would be better if anyone needs help, can find me here directly. Well, at least you are sure there's 1 person who see your questions!

Questions concerning:
- work permit
- Spass
- Employment pass
- entry visa
- etc etc

Hi tutujl,

Thanks for your offer to help.

One question from my side. After EPEC approval and getting the letter by snail mail, can one appy for LTVSP from home country or should we come to singapore and then apply online.

This query because on the ICA eVP site it says to apply for LTVSP one of the required docs is embarkation/disembarkation card, if so then how can one apply from home country. but i saw on this forum some people mentioning that they applied LTVSP from home country.

How is it possibe? in that case is it so that we can just apply online and get the approval and then can produce the embarkation/disembarkation card during ICA meeting after landing in singapore...so confusing...can u please clarify??

Thanks in advance !

tutujl,

I am curious, as a designer, why do you think you are an expert at immigration and work permit matters? I personally think you are just trying to get eyeballs to your blog. (which by the way, should be limited to a single line of text OR a single hyperlink - please edit it before we edit it).

You cannot apply for the LTVP while still in your home country. You must have the embarkation/disembarkation card AND you have to also be present in Singapore in the event that ICA requires an Interview (not always necessary but the fact still remains).

Additionally, it does not make sense to apply for and get the LTVP while still in your home country as the time would be wasted and it is for a limited duration between usually 3 months up to 12 months. Why waste the time in a country where you cannot use it?

Wait until you arrive and have the necessary documentation with you.

I guess that's what happens when one thinks they can pull a fast one over the moderators on this site......

It would help if you read the stickies:

Additionally, what kind of respect do you think you will get here as a local writing with texting sms language or singlish?

Applying EPEC

Post by dbhargavaraju » Sat, 12 Feb 2011 2:42 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply EPEC. One of the documents required fro applying is 'Certified True copies of Educational Certificates and Transcripts'.

Here I just want to know what is Certified true copy. Is it attestation by Gazetted officer or by the Singapore embassy itself ???/

Thanks

You can use the embassy or a Notary Public.
