Help Needed!

I am moving to Singapore from the Philippines. Will be working as a Dermatologist. Starting March 20.

I am currently looking for an apartment/flat sharing in district 13/14(genting lane, mcpherson, geylang,peya lebar)
What are the best places to hang and party?
What are the things do to do on weekends?

there are quite a number of websites offering condos/apartment for rent in singapore. if you are keen on renting a unit, I read in some article that expats should be careful with signing lease contracts.

The "Diplomatic Clause" should be included in the contract. This will give protection to your deposit in case your employment terminates prior to the end of the period of lease.

Also, discuss with your landlord all the "Other Expenses" that you will pay on top of the lease which includes the stamp duty and related utility costs.
