Hi. My family will be relocating from NY to Singapore in July. I have 2 daughters who will be ages 3 and 4 at the time. We are thinking of sending them to the SAS. I would like to live within walking distance, as I will also have an infant and don't feel they are old enough to ride a bus. Can anyone recommend any housing close to the school? Any advise would be appreciated.

Just tell your broker you want to live in the Woodlands near the American school. If you do a search on google maps you'll be able to become familiar with the street names.
condos go for about $2500 at the Woodgrove, ridiculously big McMansions run about $15 - 25K.

Thanks for the tip. Those are some pretty big price differences!

Expect around $5,000 Sing for suitable
condo housing. Would typically include a pool. $7,000 if you want a "semi-detached" house with small yard.

Thanks. That doesn't sound too bad. We definitely want pool, playground, gym if possible. I'm not sure how I feel about detached yet as I read something on this forum about burglars coming in the night. Don't know how common that really is though.

With regard to the high rise
condos if you are looking for those, I see online that there is one called Casablanca, Rosewood and one called Woodgrove. Sorry but I can't tell you more about them. Maybe someone else on the board can?
Good luck with the move.

^^ But the OP was asking about housing which is walking distance to SAS. There are Semi-Ds up there, not a lot though and 7K is about right.

Yeah, prices are getting wild — even resale HDBs in mature estates are creeping past $1M regularly now.
My guess is they might tighten loan limits...
