General Counsel Role in Singapore

Hi I am a New Zealand lawyer (11 yrs PQE) and have been asked to state what package I would expect for a General Counsel role in Singapore. I don't know the market at all.

I see that the Kelly guide suggests that a base salary package would be between S180,000 - S500,000.

Is anyone able to give me guidance about salary expectations and other benefits?

E.g. What should I expect in terms of Salary, Bonus, Medical, Holidays, Maternity, Transportation Allowance, Relocation Benefits. Other benefits?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Could you provide some additional information? Salary packages differ from company to company (based on size, fortune 100-500), industry (financial services and Oil/Gas pay higher), are you at the interview or offer stage (if at the offer stage, you can ask for more), is this for a role at your current company? The range, as you have noticed, is very wide. The company, industry and size of the operation in Singapore/APAC will be big factors.

It is in one of the sectors that you said will pay higher.

I am at interview stage at this point in time.

It is not the company I currently work for, rather I have been approached by a head hunter for the role. The focus area of the role is very specialised.

The operations in Singapore are fairly small at this stage (less than 50), although gorwing rapidly, but the organisation itself is extremely large internationally.

Minimum should be $300K (floor, in my opinion). How they break this up is based on their HR/normal process so it could be a package with housing, school (not sure if you have kids), medical benefits, trip back home or just a lumpsum base salary+medical benefits+bonus (local package).

There is a big difference even within the sectors I stated. Within financial services, banks are different game so if this is with an investment bank/asset management company, that makes a difference.
