Malaysian but holding UK PR - to apply for PEP or not?

Hi there,

This is my first post here, and I have been going through the numerous posts trying to find a topic similar to what I'm about to ask - to no avail ... I'll keep searching, but if anyone could advise on this, that would be much appreciated.

I'm a Malaysian citizen and also hold a UK PR. My husband and I are looking to relocate to Singapore for a few years and the PEP seems to be the way forward for him (he meets all the criteria, is of UK nationality and is currently an IT contractor in London).

The question is more for myself - should I get a PEP, or would it be easier applying for jobs online from the UK as a Malaysian? The PEP form asks who the employer is (presumably the Singaporean employer and not the current UK one) but as I haven't found a job in Singapore yet, that might have to be left blank. Would that then mean that I'm not eligible for the PEP, as there is no mention on the MOM site that you should already have a job offer when you apply for this pass.

Sorry for the 20 questions - any help would be appreciated.

Replying to myself - had a more detailed study of the application form and it says that if the applicant hasn't found a job yet, then the employer information can be left blank.

You can apply for PEP if your salary in the UK (within the last six months) can be documented to be at least the equivalent of S$7K/mo as a Basic Salary (without overtime/perks/etc).
