Allow a generation of women to become the fodder of sex traffickers to avoid the potential increase in petty crime... That's a risk I'm willing to take. We'll never end prostitution, but we can give girls more choices by providing micro-loans, healthcare and education and by passing and enforcing stricter laws.

There's a job going in Phuket- I have to get out of Europe cos I'm gonna be a Grandma and I'm just too far away. I don't think I want to go home to Oz but I need to be closer. I've been to Phuket of course but don't know whether living there would be a good move? Actually I can't remember Phuket at all...mm...too many little holidays and old age is upon me....think I went diving there.....dunno....I remember Pattaya- that was awful!
The flights from Phuket are about 9 hrs to Melbourne compared with the long-haul flights from Europe. Any info anyone? I presume loss of anonymity would be one issue....mm.
I hereby pre-empt all snickering re my grandma status so don't even go there!
Ozchick ~ apologies for hijacking this thread. I hope the job in Bangkok works out. Good Luck and Mazel Tov on the new grandbaby!

So now every women who may dress a little sexy or show a little are sluts?

The jealous thing was directed at the men going to these places instead of trying to hit on so called normal women like yourself.

If I looked like my mother I would be horrified(bless her) and just for the record she would say the same thing about me.

As for kicking a dog, thats not right.

A women or man taking money from the opposite sex (sometimes not) for sexual favours, both are winners.

I know plenty of guys who like there women to dress sexy and show a little, does this make them sluts?

It's not about how someone dresses. If someone has the choice to dress how she wants, then fine. The issue, in my opinion, is whether that's what she really wants or if she has another (viable) option.

I doubt anyone has an issue with prostitution when it involves adult transactions in safe, monitored environments. The issue comes when there are no other choices available and one party is taking full advantage of that.

I'd be willing to bet anyone with a daughter would fail to see her as a "winner" in a situation where she sells her body to several men every night.

The question that begs to really be answered is who is using whom? Is it the young girl (who we don't know if is supporting her family or not) who plays on the vanity of older gentlemen to get what she wants? Or is the the older man who hankers after an earlier time when he was younger, more viral, but has lost those but has money to burn and knows he can find a young girl with enough money. Who is using who? Who has higher principles? catch 22

Older men chasing SPGs or SPGs chasing older men? Chicken & egg if you ask me.

If both are successfully and volundarily fulfilling each others' needs, regardless what they may be, who are we to judge?

Bang on mate.

Usually women never think that the so called "slut" can be taking the guy for a ride.

Longstebe you have a strange habit of arguing a non-existent point. Dream on? I write out plainly that we'll never end prostitution...

I believe all prostitution is exploitation so I will leave this discussion having made my point.

Ozchick, I hope everything works out wherever you land.

This is why I like SE and SMS, and maybe I'll like Longstebe too even though he tried to fool me into believing he is a woman :D

Wow, this conversation took an interesting turn.

I agree with Mary Hatch B, whatever she said!

Ozchick, the forum has a thread currently running about jobs and where to find them,

Sign up and you will be shown the ropes . . .

I lived in Thailand for while and can assure you that there will be challenges . . . the country is nothing like an organised developed country . . . we are talking bribing all sorts of people to get things done etc...

have a look at the following forum, it is quite good and has a few members living on Phuket

www.subzerosiam.com/
Found a good job on that website V! Can't believe it.....it's in Bangkok....but then well every silver lining has a cloud!

Are the ladies who are so outraged by what happens between old guys and younger girls in Thailand similarly outraged by what happens between Aussie/European women and poor local boys in Bali, and also by the women who travel to Africa, the Carribean and various parts of south america looking for sex, sorry I mean 'companionship'?

No Kids = body still looking good = wears short skirts and plunging blouses and CFM shoes

Married, not working = Lives off husband's credit cards and ATM account

Not working = uses husband's money to buy presents/food/drinks when out with friends and family

In exchange, husband gets clean home, clean clothes, food and the occassional "ahem" exchange.

Does that make me a prostitute?
