They won't tell me why, but the pet mover says it has to do with the configuration of the cargo hold/ loading issue. Too bad... Would have been a lot easier for me as I need to fly an alternative route now.
Wrong again. SQ do take pets cargo even for A380s. I just sms my mate's in SQ which handles cargo and he confirmed this.
From the link you posted previously:

Please note that the:

carriage of pets in the aircraft cabin is not permitted, with the exception of Guide Dogs;
carriage of live animals is also not allowed on A345-500 ultra long haul flights;
with the exception of live tropical fish, insects and reptiles, carriage of animals is not allowed on all A380 flights.

Mad Scientist - I spoke with SQ and they again said they don't take animals on A380s. As per their website :
"with the exception of live tropical fish, insects and reptiles, carriage of animals is not allowed on all A380 flights."

Does your mate have any idea which department I could call instead of the ticketing department?

I would prefer my pets to fly SQ as it is a direct AND shortest flight for them. My other option is more complicated with a stop over and vets resealing crates, etc...

Thanks!
