Cricket for fun, anyone?

Post by 3g » Thu, 30 Dec 2010 2:10 pm

Hi!!

Wondering if anyone would be interested in playing cricket during the weekends or something like that. Nothing professional or serious like that. Just for fun and for chats.

I think there's 11 guys in Australia who fall into that category, but they're needed in Sydney next week!

Seriously, I'm potentially up for it, though I'm even more useless than Ricky Ponting in a Melbourne Ashes test.

Do people play cricket for fun ??? :D :D

I come from a cricket playing country and I was stuck for words when some European compared cricket to taking a piece of metal, dipping it in water, and watching it become corroded :D

Seriously, take a visit to Ceylon Sports Club or SRC, and you can get into their groups .. and atleast talk cricket even if you don't get to play it .. :D

That's got to be the most apt description of the game I've ever heard! :)

I don't play the game, but it'd be great to meet up with some cricket fans to watch the upcoming world cup with in the bars or wherever! (i heard Harry's is gonna broadcast the matches?)
