Will eating wholemeal bread make me obese?

Does the wholemeal flour in the wholemeal bread make people fat?

xx_devil, it's the other way around! White breads are more fattening because it takes longer for the body to break down the carbs. Wholemeal or whole wheat breads are the most healthiest breads for you. You won't get fat on it (unless you eat a whole loaf a day!)

Yes, wholemeal breads are the best for you. Things that do not taste that nice are always better, I always feel wholemeal meals are..yuckky..but they're the best.

try to toast it.. u'll find it fragrant even if eating it alone. dip them into coffee or any hot drink, it's haven :D my personal experience though =)

eating wholemeal bread is more healthy than white bread
bt u eat wit kaya o chesse spread,it shld mak ppl FAT!!

just eat carbs in the day time,no carbs aft 5pm.
as its need time to digest!
useless u wan go workout,then u can eat carbs.

Weight gain occurs when you consume MORE calories than what your body requires.

You could be eating ONLY wholemeal bread the whole day and can gain OR lose weight.

For eg. If your body's daily caloric requirement is 2000cals,

and you eat MORE than 2000cals worth of wholemeal bread and nothing else on that particular day, you'll gain weight. If less than 2000cals, you lose weight.

It's that simple.

Given a choice to choose between wholemeal and white bread, the former is better because it has a lower GI rate due to the fiber content.
