Does anyone know if there is a high demand/market for diamonds in SG?

Let's guess, recent grad, used to being spoon-fed on demand, knows zero about diamonds, thinks they have seen a business idea, demand help with zero effort made.

About right?

Haha! Very funny but not right. I am still in college actually. Writing a research paper on the socio-economic value of diamonds in Far East Asia. Can't seem to be able to gather much data on diamond consumption in SE Asia. Most stats are on Hong Kong, China and Japan. So just wanted to what people generally perceived the demand to be like in Singapore.

Oh ok, well not that far wrong really :)

From what I hear, SGns are unwilling to pay for quality. Put another way, they'd rather pay for a 5 carat golfball of shit, than a 1 carat piece of recognised quality.

Draw your own conclusions.
