Hello everyone,
we came to Singapore few weeks ago and just moving to "permanent" apartment and want to buy a Christmas tree. We celebrate ortodox christmas 7th Jan but Christmas tree is more New Year Tree for us as in Russia it is main New Year accessory.
I was trying to find live tree but IKEA and FarEastFlorists already sold out all trees. May be someone knows where I can find live Christmas Tree? I almost gave up...
Thank for you help!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If you are looking for a live tree, you could try Evergreenery in Sembawang:
11 Bah Soon Pah Rd, 769960
tel 6758 1142
They had a large shipment of air-freighted trees and sure they still have some left. They are frighteningly expensive though (live trees in general)
If you can live with a fake, then try Eric who runs a christmas shop on 805 Geylang Road. He has the largest selection of fake trees in Sing.
Good luck!

Yes they are v v expensive in SG that is for sure. Given that the 7th is after 12th night, maybe you could find one that someone else has used for Xmas and thrown out?
Otherwise try the nurseries on Upper Thomson Road. The one just to the north of Hawaii Landscape certainly seems to have a huge range of trees in the run up to Xmas.

Far East Flora had a good choice of the trees 2 weeks before Christmas. When I got there one week later they were left with some crippled remainings but I got lucky, they had a limited delivery of some fresh ones at the time I came over. In other words I wish you best luck but I would rather second JR8's suggestion - it may be easier getting a 2nd hand tree (sorry, we are not going to give away ours at this point yet and unlikely before the 7th unless all the needles are dropped down
).

Has anyone succeeded in growing a custard apple with fruits? Thinking of growing custard apples but not sure if climate is viable?

Haven't seen or heard of anyone growing this here. It's apparently been cultivated in Thailand and Indonesia though, so I don't see why not. Give it...
