Close to Mersing island tour

wasnt this a destination of a very recent boat accident?

But you'll drive on the roads and use a boat where there hasn't been an accident? Its probably safer now because of the accident as the authorities are watching closely... or do you just never leave your apartment? But then again, statistically you're more likely to die in your bed than anywhere else!

According to the news weather played a part in the event - most of the island is closed at the moment because of the monsoon season. Look to traveling in March / April once that has passed.

I am not aware of boat accident. Please advice travelling in Jan is risk?
Any safest travel advice???

The weather coincides closely with Singapore (no surprise given they are very close, and the weather systems during monsoon very large).

I'd wait until March, but keep an eye on how monsoon season comes to an end this year.
