criteria for PR

Post by pra » Sun, 19 Dec 2010 10:40 pm

Any one pls tell me abt any idea on:

1. though ICA say that applicant can travel out of Singapore, is that a criteria for getting PR? (If I travel out of Singapore, is it a negative point to get PR)?
2. Any insight into criteria for ICA's selection method/criteria to give PR ..???

Thanks in advance !

1. Not an issue. You can travel outside Singapore as long as you are on an EP it doesnt affect your PR application.

2. No one knows except for ICA. Salary,Employment Pass Type, Duration in Singapore, Educational background , family ties in Singapore , Social Contribution.. All these are factors but no one knows what how it is decided.

6 Months in Singapore and are you planning for PR ? It is practically not possible.

Thanks singaporeflyer for reply.

The last sentence I didn't get u !

"6 Months in Singapore and are you planning for PR ? It is practically not possible."

Means: Is it that they have no history of given PR to just 6 months old in Singapore? Or do they have any such pre-requisite rule & regulation? (but I have not read any such thing).

Thanks.

Have you searched this forum, read the newspapers or do you have even the slightest inkling of what's actually going on in Singapore regarding foreigners and immigration? The locals are up in arms about foreigners 'stealing our jobs' so do you really think after being here 6 months that they're going to give you PR (especially considering you're probably Indian by your usename)?

Unless you are the president's nephew your odds of getting PR in less than two years is virtually nil. A little research might be a good idea so you at least appear to have pulled your head out of the sand a couple weeks ago instead of currently looking like you managed to somehow be here for 6 months like this......
