Hey there my friend, which hotel can you recommend? it should be quite near the central of phuket .. im going alone ..

Hi,

You can try Thara Patong Beach Resort or Club Andaman resort/hotel. They are situated in the heart of Patong Beach and the shopping areas as well as night life.

Depends what you mean by central. The main place where most of the tourist go is around the Patong beach area. Another nice place is around Karon beach. Phuket town itself is pretty crappy unless you wanna shop for local stuff. Do a google search and you'll find many sites dedicated to Phuket and other Thai cities.

Anybody knows the ROYAL PARADISE hotel in phuket/patong? its included in my free&easy package but i read now thats in the gay-centre? should i upgrade or change the hotel or its not that remarkable and wont get bugged by those guys?
btw. im 22 going alone, just to see phuket, probably rent a moto and drive around the island, i want to go snorkeling and drink a few drinks .. get some tan of course .. what do you recommand/ Sincerely

patong is the most happening beach and activities like para sailing, jet skiing at lower rates........ compared to pre-tsunami. holiday inn had a good location and some great offers........ there's some construction on part of the property.

Hi guys,

just came back from Phuket......very nice place indeed...the area in patong beach is a very expensive placee to shop. ....Will recomend you guys to go phuket town to get better price....in Patong they sell t-shirts min 150 baht...but in phuket town you can get 100 baht...nice..anyway thanks for sharing much on phuket....lovely destination to be in
