playgroup/kindergarten advice needed

Post by SE » Wed, 08 Dec 2010 4:00 pm

Hi Mums,

I'm looking for a playgroup for my 2 yrs old son in Bedok area. Ideally it could be 2-3hrs a day, 3-5 times a week. Any recommendations?

Hi,

I've just moved to Singapore so not quite sure about the areas, but I went to see a beautiful Montessori for my 3 year old in the East Coast.

It's on Joo Chiat Road and it's called Montessori for Little Giants. Their phone number is 64406040.

And currently, as they are new they are offering a 20% discount off the fees for the first 3 months.

Hope this helps. I was truly very impressed with the school.

Good Luck
M

playschool in the east

Post by lovingasia » Wed, 12 Jan 2011 9:19 pm

hi SE

I stumbled upon a playschool at Mountbatten Centre on Guillemard Road last week while my hubby and I were looking for a cafe near there.
It's called Playdays and a couple of my friends in the west/central area send their kids to the other Playdays in the west area - they all seem to love and rave about it!

My boy is older but I told my sis with a 19 month old girl to check the school out, she went for a preview today and I tagged along.. We were impressed with their teachers and space, thought it was creatively done up! and the school is a week old! so check them out, my sis is enrolling her lil one for twice a week!

Good luck with your hunt!

Hi SE,

I am not so sure about other kindergartens but I know that there's a Maris Kindergarten (Maris Kidz) in Bedok. You should check them out since I have heard that they are quite good.

Hope this helps!

If you are not very particular about the playgroup- walk around your neighborhood as there would be a nice playgroup around- I suppose. My wife and I searched here and there on the internet but discovered that scouting by walking aorund is best! The neighborhood playgroups are not ïnternational" but fairly operate well- just check and talk to the teachers...

May I share my experience in this blog: http://robaminute.wordpress.com/2011/02 ... up-school/
