free lancing on long term visa

Post by momabcd » Fri, 03 Dec 2010 9:04 pm

hi friends,

i have just received a 5-year long term visa as mother of PR. meaning i can stay in, go in and out of, singapore for the next 5 years. however the pass doesnt allow me to work.

my usual "work" when i am home in the philippines is private tutoring or tuition as called in singapore. for me such "work" is not really work but i do get compensation for what i am doing. will i be allowed to do this in singapore ? if i can a few students just to earn some shopping money, i will be happy.

thanks

No you are not allowed to work when you are on a LTSVP. You have to be a SG citizen/PR/EP/WP holder to work in Singapore
