moving to singapore

Hello to everybody!
It would be very kind if any of you could help me with some tips.
I'm going to move in Singapore in a few week and going to stay 2 years.
My office location should be somewhere near MacPherson in centra east.
Where do you suggest me to rent an apartment?
How much should I ask my company as allowance?
Please consider that I like to go out and enjoy my free time but I'm not a money waster!
Thanks G.

 You can look to rent in the east coast with apartments like Bayshore Park, The Bayshore, Mandarin Gardens, all these apartments offers good prices ranging from $1,200 onwards.
 As for the part on allowances, it really depends on what's the 'market price' on your company's outlay for staffs' allowances, why not check with your new peers, or ask HR for ballpark? It can range from anything from $500 - $10,000...some companies include it into the rent.
Do let us us know if you are looking to rent a place, you can contact us at +65 61000 300 or email: enquiry@singaporeexpats.com
THANKS A LOT JOOP!
ACTUALLY MY COMPANY IS GOING TO OFFER ME AROUND 4000 SING $ PER MONTH.
DO YOU THINK IS IT ENAUGH?
I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RENT OF A FLAT AND FOR EVERYTHING ELSE. I'M QUITE WONDERED ABOUT THE COST OF ELECTRICITY, DUE TO THE FACT IN SINGAPORE YOU HAVE TO USE A.C. ALMOST ALWAYS I THINK.
IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER GOOD TIP FOR ME, I WILL BE VERY THANKS!
