Suggestions for location to stay

I am planning to move to SG. My office is in Changi business park area. I am planning to enroll my kids in DPS, Near Charlton Park. I am trying to be as specific as possible in my question so that I can get better response.

Which would be good place for family to stay in budget of 2000-2800 SGD rent per month ? I would like to limit my commute to max 45 minutes for office and for kids I would like to limit their commute to school to max 30 minutes one way.

Any suggestions ?

Bedok, Simei, Tampines and Pasir Ris are the areas that are close by to CBP.

Will u b driving in SG? If u are then u will learn that its not far to travel in SG.

With that budget, u can get a decent HDB home. Do note that rental is at all time high now even for HDB. condo/ apartments are really expen$ive.

Location- NorthEast or East should do for you.

Thanks for the responses. I wont be driving surely not in the beginning. You are right, rents are extremely high. Looks like half of the months salary goes into rent. Net up is, I guess I will be working for land lord for 15 days of month

What kind of rents I should expect in decent apartments located either in Tampines or Bedok ? I am asking for 2 BR apartments. With some basic amenities and semi furnished type apartment.
