Would like inputs on temporary stay in Singapore.

Post by sandeepmoonka » Tue, 23 Nov 2010 10:55 pm

Hi guys,

I plan to move to Singapore towards end December from Belgium. I have a Long Term Visit Pass to Singapore. I am in Singapore to find a job .I need a place, preferably on sharing basis for three months. My budget is around 500 SGD for the place.I would appreciate your inputs on below points :-

- Which areas are recommended for an easy access to the CBD and also for my budget ?
- What type of accommodation is easy to find for a temporary period ?
- What would be ideal channels to look for the listings for temporary places ?

Cheers,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

Given your budget, perhaps you could share a room at a flat with some people in the town area. Areas that are near the CBD area would be Raffles Place, City Hall and Orchard Road. Alternatively, you can try Service Apartments but they go for at least 3k/mth.

Perhaps you can look at

Try to see if you have a friend who is here before making any payment or commitment to a place.

Cheers! :D

With that budget, its impossible to find a private accommodation.

You can also try ..com.sg or www.share-accommodation.sg to find a room-mate. Many people post on these sites looking for short-term flatmates as well.
