Shame the dates don't quite tie for me. Still Nak and X9 can 'leave one in the tap' for me for next time :)

WTF?!?

Is this like the exported Tiger beer is much, much better than the local Tiger beer but in reverse?!?

Anyway, haven't been in touch for a while (been downing some brewskies at home) so I don't know any affordable watering holes.

There was a pretty hot discussion some time ago between JR8 and Aster where the 2nd gentleman was at that time into Japanese beers while the first one though they were not that far away from p**s esp. if they are brewed outside of Japan :)

I think we can just revisit the same place on Orchard.

My experience with Japanese beers is that they're pretty bland and one beer (I forgot if it was Asahi or Kirin) somehow tastes like San Miguel Pale Pilsen. I just generally don't actively drink Japanese beers--I'd drink it if that's what's served but if I have other choices, I'll probably go for those.

I guess the same place is ok; also that's why I prefer the 12th: because I'll be there already anyway.

But hey, other Fridays are cool too.

EDIT: I just realized something. x9200 and I are now obligated to occasionally drop by the plastic surgery and flight attendant forums as well?!? FML.

Sorry guys, I forgot to tell you the downside of the job with Plavt no longer patrolling that area, but look at it this way......

it makes playing with trolls so much more satisfactory when down here as they are, by comparison, talented.

JP beer is mostly bland for me. Asahi in the US is yet worse still being brewed by Labatts in Canada. There are good JP beers, when I lived there Ebisu was the most palatable for me, and some of the special edition winter beers. I've more recently had beers by Hitachino Nest, which are $ but very, very good. (X9 you can certainly get me one of those :))

One thing that really struck me this time popping in and out of SG, Heineken is now brewed under license in SG, and Carlsberg (even the infamous Special Brew) in Malaysia. Unfortunately it does not seem to have made them any cheaper...
