VERY new to singapore. Was hoping for some suggestions on some christmas activities...parades, events, etc. Anything that will enhance the holiday for us. Looking forward to it.

There's a 'snowstorm' at Tanglin mall every year - it's like a big soapy blower thing that kids can run around in. They enjoy it but one of mine didn't like the soap so she just ended up in the shower instead (they have outdoor showers rigged up) - take a change of clothes for your children (assuming you have children that is!).

There's also the Orchard Rd lights and sometimes they do deals on the hippo/tour buses so you could ask about that at the information office on Orchard Rd and see if they're doing open topped bus trips for residents this year (tourists often get to go free).

I noticed that Marina Bay seem to be going for it this year with lights too so it'd probably be worth having a stroll around there one evening.

You often get things going on in the malls but they always draw a big crowd so can be more hassle than fun.

There is a Santa Parade at SAFRA Mount Faber on 4 Dec from 5pm to 8pm. Families member are able to select their outfit of Santa / Santarina, workshop on how to perform and be part of the parade and light refreshment.
