Refuse entry to Singapore!

Post by NguyenDinhLong » Mon, 22 Nov 2010 2:14 pm

Two years ago, i was refused entry to Singapore at Woodlands Checkpoint.

The reason is: my social visit pass is not enough valid day to renew a new one.

Explain: I went to Malay to shopping and return to Singapore within a day (Saturday). My social visit pass was expiring in next Monday, which day i already bought a flight ticket for going back to my country. I also presented my flight ticket to them but it's no used. They said that my social visit pass is not enough valid day to renew. (at least 2 days).

Now, i'm working in Singapore, holding EP. The first time when i applied for EP, it's rejected and my boss had to write an appeal letter for me. After that, my EP can be approved. But now, my problem is : my EP will expire in next month and my boss want to renew my EP but when he submites my application, it got rejected status again and he has to write again appeal letter.

Do i have any chance to get EP again?

If possible, what could i do so that they can clear my bad mark (refuse entry) ? So, next time when i renew EP, my boss doesn't need to write appeal letter again.

Thanks so much!

The refused entry probably has nothing to do with it. If it did, you wouldn't have gotten the EP the first time.

It's more to do with possible questionable docs OR the employer can no longer justify having a foreigner in that position. We've had a number who have been rejected for some reason on their part as our other foreigners are being renewed with no problem. If your degree with not in a prescribed course of study that is applicable to your position here in Singapore, I've heard that that is also being used as a means of rejecting renewals. A good example is you are in a "technician" position but you have a B.Arts degree. I've seen them bounced on renewal (but still cannot guarantee that that was the reason as MOM don't tell).
