Singapore PR application while on MOE Subsidy

Post by singaporeflyer » Mon, 22 Nov 2010 1:04 pm

Hi,
I have a clarification on Singapore PR application while on MOE Subsidy.

I might take my part time MTech Degree with NUS with MOE Subsidy which will require me to be bonded to work in Singapore for 3 years after the completion of the course (service obligation).

Since I will be completing my 2.5 years in Singapore by next year mid, I also intend to apply for my PR by then.

Since I am already bonded to be in Singapore for 3 years (because of the MOE subsidy and service obligation) will my PR application be deferred approval till I complete my service obligation?

Have any one of you got your PR approved while on MOE subsidy before completing the course (part time )?

Thanks

SF

I know over 6 people to whom this has been the case.
Though they did this a few years ago.

If you google for iDA subsidy they expect you to become PR if a foreigner.

I think it is a given that you must be a PR.

I think he means getting PR "while" on the subsidy. Once he has his PR the subsequent course fees drop dramatically.

What SMS said is correct. I asked for applying for Singapore PR while being on the MOE Subsidy (during the course itself, since I am working and this course is a part time one).
