Hey Pablo, I'm game to meet up for coffee/dinner if you are. Don't get to meet many Argentinians much...maybe I could pick up some Spanish swear words from you hehee. I had a couple of Mexican friends back in Canada, very good friends, but the only thing I managed to take away from them was an addiction to putting piquante sauce on everything! =]

The PM sets in the outbox until the recipient opens it. Once to recipient opens it, it's automatically moved to the Sent folder.

Any suggestions?

Just moved to Singapore from Ireland, working at apple. Would love to meet friends to hang out, love music ( Morrissey) and world cinema and tennis.

Folks
If Sat 27th suits, how about either Clarke Quay (say, Brewerz or similar) or Orchard area??

Homelygal,
Sorry, but I think you need to use the dating forum.
This is not strictly a dating section just expats who want to get together.

saturday

Hi ... Me and an American friend are going out this Saturday if anyone would like to join us. We have both been in Singapore about 6 weeks, and both enjoy drinking beer, eating local food, and indulging in fine conversation.

Anyway ... the plan is to meet at Chinatown MRT around 8:30, take a wander through Chinatown, eat some local food, grab a beer or 2, and then go to check out a bar called Lily's which is just the other side of Chinatown towards the river a few hundred meters south west of Boat Quay.

I have heard that this bar is where local people hang out, it has a pool table, and seems quite mellow.

After there, will probably wander down to one of the Quays (Clark or Robertson) to see what is going on.

Can call either of us on the day if you can't find us, but plan to meet at the customer information desk at Chinatown MRT at 8:30 , or if you can't make it that early, can call to find out where we are along the route. More people the merrier!

(have posted this as a new add, but put it here just to let you all know)

How about something non-BQ/CQ? There are a lot of nice quiet restaurants along Bt. Timah, and a number of Harry's-es that I haven't been to but have passed many a time.

I think for purposes of a decent conversation, these places are more suitable? I don't know, maybe it's just me and my deathly aversion to crowds and nonexistent/exorbitant downtown parking! ;)

Just a thought.

Speaking of which, has anyone been to that restaurant in the old Bt. Timah fire station? That seems like a nice environment... kinda like Dempsey. Anyway count me in if you folks are going somewhere non-downtown!

Hi everyone, this thread particularly caught my eye. I'm Filipina, 22, and I just very recently got re-assigned by my company to Singapore. I'm a consulting actuary and I've been staying in Ascott for the past week.

Very very interested in meeting new people! Hope to hear from you guys soon!

Andrea
